WBJ: MHP Nebel Street Project Among Recipients of Amazon Grants

The Washington Business Journal recently announced Amazon’s commitment of $163 million in grants to affordable housing preservation and development projects in the Washington, DC, region. This includes MHP’s Nebel Street development in Rockville. The full article is here (behind a paywall).

Montgomery Housing Partnership will receive a $2.2 million grant to build new apartments in White Flint on Nebel Street at the intersection of Old Georgetown Road. All 163 units will be preserved as affordable for households earning between 30% and 80% of area median income.

Amazon launched the Housing Equity Fund — a $2 billion commitment to preserve and build 20,000 affordable homes in its three hub regions — in January 2021.
