Update on Lyttonsville Road Fire Relief Effort
- Distribution of financial assistance has begun to more than 80 families affected by the March 3 explosion and fire at the Friendly Garden Apartments. Distributions are being held the week of March 7. Additional distributions will be scheduled and announced soon.
- Donations to the relief fund being managed by MHP exceed $495,000. While that amount is significant, the needs of approximately 150 affected residents are also significant. Families escaped the explosion site carrying little or nothing with them. MHP is proud to partner with Montgomery County, the Red Cross, and other nonprofits in meeting the needs of affected families.
