Outreach to Strengthen Neighborhoods
MHP’s outreach and engagement staff work with residents to help them address crucial needs, especially factors that can negatively affect housing stability.
Outreach services include:
Help residents apply for financial rental and utility assistance and other eviction prevention measures
Provide financial coaching to manage debt, create a family budget, deal with tax questions, and build credit
Assist in applying for health insurance coverage
Help address food insecurity issues, including assistance in applying for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits
Connect them with individualized employment counseling services to address unemployment and under-employment
