Graduation Season for MHP Community Life Programs!
June 6, 2025 (Silver Spring, MD) There were decorations, caps, gowns, food, and family in abundance as Montgomery Housing Partnership’s (MHP) Community Life enrichment programs celebrated the graduation of almost 100 students who will be moving on to elementary and middle school in the next school year. Each community center held a unique celebration with special features. For example, the FLOW graduation featured a photo slideshow, the Greenwood Community Center graduation had an underwater theme, Great Hope Homes hosted a multicultural potluck, and all our Play & Learn preschool students performed songs they learned with teachers from the Washington Conservatory of Music.
MHP President Robert A. Goldman shared personal anecdotes about his own daughter’s learning journey and praised the students, caregivers, and staff for their dedication to enriching children’s lives. Goldman also recommended that parents prioritize reading with their children to promote a lifelong love of reading and strong literacy skills. Other MHP Community Life staff took to the stage to share words of wisdom and appreciation for their students.
Congratulations to all students, parents and caregivers as they achieve this milestone, as well as the dedicated MHP Community Life staff who put together the celebrations and have helped guide the students throughout the year. Bravo!
