Walter Carcamo grew up in MHP Community Life enrichment programs, both as a student and as an afterschool classroom assistant. We were happy to welcome Walter back to MHP as a Project Change/AmeriCorps member. AmeriCorps members serve one-year assignments working for nonprofit organizations. MHP has partnered with AmeriCorps for many years.

We also are excited that Walter has joined MHP as a classroom co-lead teacher now that his AmeriCorps commitment is complete. In this video, Walter talks about his experiences and how multiculturalism informs what he does and how he views the world.
