“When I saw the area, I saw that this is a nice place to live. It’s quiet. I like that it’s not a high rise. Just two floors and a basement. I like that it’s a mix of ages. I like to walk. I go to the main road and go on Sligo Creek towards Wheaton. You see kids and playgrounds. You see a lot of people.”
Molly’s Story
Molly is a wonderful person with a kind smile and a beautiful voice. She grew up in rural Montgomery County with six siblings in a 2-bedroom trailer with no running water or electricity. They had a beloved vegetable garden and went to church every Sunday.
Ronnie: A Sense of Empowerment
Ronnie Jamison, a resident of Worthington Woods Apartments, MHP’s first acquisition in the District of Columbia, says he isn’t sure where Worthington Woods residents would be if MHP had not acquired the property.
Bigger Dreams: Nancy
A central goal of MHP’s resident programs is to inspire our students to aspire, dream big dreams and reach for new possibilities. A great example of that is resident Nancy Cabrera, a high school student.
