MHP partners with Arcola Elementary School in Wheaton to offer two innovative afterschool programs focused on strengthening students’ math, science, and reading skills through the GATOR program. GATOR enrolls up to 120 students, including elementary school students at Amherst and Pembridge Square for five days a week from September to June.

MHP will submit an application for the Fiscal Year 2025 Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers: Maryland Out-of-School Time Programs for the Future grant award. We are applying for funding for the MHP GATOR program. The application will be available for review per request after it is submitted.
