While the Purple Line promises to be a boon to local economy, bringing greater access to jobs and public transit hubs, the construction can be burdensome to businesses along the line. MHP works with Bonifant Street in Downtown Silver Spring to market the “Discover” destination of Discover Bonifant. Holding monthly trivia nights, sip n’ write events, and creating small-business passports, MHP works to increase awareness of the often overlooked businesses on Bonifant Street. MHP also works with individual businesses on effective marketing strategies, along with marketing the street as a destination.
