In comments to a Montgomery County Council committee, MHP President Robert A. Goldman supported expanded funding for the acquisition and preservation of affordable housing in Montgomery County, including a possible $100 million dedicated fund. He told members of the Montgomery County Council Planning, Housing, and Economic Development Committee there is “an unbelievable need” to provide affordable housing resources now, due to factors that include rising interest rates and steep hikes in construction costs.
