Support MHP Programs To Help Children Aspire and Achieve

Do you remember the anticipation of beginning a new school year, perhaps in a brand new school? New classmates, new teachers, new goals?

Zachary from MHP’s homework club is starting fifth grade at the end of this summer, but his goals go way past the school year:

“I want to get my Master’s Degree in Astrophysics because I always wanted to be an astronaut and work for NASA because space is endless! […] The college I want to go to is Harvard University which was founded in 1636 and it has the best education with smart teachers and smart students, the amazing resources and opportunities to get a good job!”

Did you know that only 33% of children from low-income families start school ready for kindergarten?

And if they’re behind to begin with, it is that much harder for them to succeed as they move through elementary school, middle school, and higher education.

MHP programs help young students like Zachary reach their potential. We provide kindergarten readiness, educational support, career readiness, and enrichment. It costs about $2,500 per student per school year to run the program.

We are looking for partners to commit $25, $250, or $2,500 as seed funding for the new youth enrichment program site at the Sandy Slavin Community Center at MHP’s Halpine Hamlet community.
If you are ready to make a long-term commitment to our work, please consider joining our Circle of Builders giving society. Your gift of $1,000 or more today, pledged for five years, will make dreams come true for Zachary and the more than 2,600 families living in MHP properties. Your pledge will ensure that we can continue to provide our educational programs for years to come.

Can you help?
