Thanks to the 70+ volunteers from Choice Hotels and Rebuilding Together Montgomery County who spent the day building a new privacy fence and renovating the picnic area at Dring’s Reach apartments in Silver Spring. It looks great, and our residents love it!

Dring’s Reach is a 105 -unit garden style apartment community in the Briggs Chaney area of Silver Spring. It was the first mixed-income community developed by MHP 25 years ago.

Conservation Garden at Glenville Road

glennvill-combo

For two weekends this fall, volunteers, residents, consultants, and green club members put in hours of hard work to turn a dirt strip in front of the new mural at MHP’s Glenville Road Community Center into a beautiful new conservation garden. The open area is now framed by a bold and artistic blend of colorful flowers and plants. The inviting space welcomes the children and their parents everyday as they enter the Play & Learn preschool and after school Homework Club. Thank you to Chesapeake Bay Trust for helping to make this happen.
