Help the Homeless Walkathon 2011

HTH

MHP is proud to be a beneficiary organization of the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless 2011 Program. It was a beautiful fall morning November 19 for the MHP staff, board members, family and friends who came out to participate in the final year of the Help the Homeless Walkathon on the National Mall in Washington, DC.

Thanks to our partners and staff who helped recruit more than 1,200 walkers this year to benefit MHP. We held a total of 10 mini-walks at public schools around the region, plus an additional five at MHP’s community centers in Silver Spring, Takoma Park and Wheaton.

2010 Help the Homeless Walkathon

MHP was proud to be a beneficiary organization for the 2010 Help the Homeless Walkathon on the National Mall in DC on Saturday, Nov. 20th. MHP and hundreds of local nonprofit organizations help provide much needed services to the homeless, and to low-income families in need who may otherwise be homeless.

We had a terrific sunny fall day for colleagues, family, friends – adults, children and the family pets - to walk for a great cause. To see additional photos and results from Fannie Mae’s annual Help the Homeless Program, go to: www.helpthehomelessdc.org

2010 HTH Mini-Walk Schedule

MHP also held several mini walks this fall with public schools in Montgomery County and Washington, D.C., and at MHP community centers to educate students and raise awareness for homelessness issues. This is an annual tradition MHP hopes to continue for many years.
